Jody Rawdin has always seen the world through the lens of an artist. From getting her degree in Advertising Design at FIT–to her career as an art director and creative director in large advertising agencies, Jody has consistently been recognized for her creative mind and attention to detail.

Jody’s focus has now shifted to her artistic passion – creating oil paintings that bring together her keen attention to detail and her appreciation of the beauty of the landscapes. Working from combinations of photographs she takes herself or finds, the artist combines realistic detail and varying degrees of abstraction along with atmospheric perspective to transport the viewer to a dream worthy environment. Jody says, “she loves to find surprises in the paint and run with them.” She hopes that viewers of her work enjoy the journey into each painting.

The artist studies oil painting at Silvermine Arts Center in New Canaan, CT and lives in New York City.
